UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication (TV & Film) covers all the crew and production roles like filmmaker, director, or camera operator within the TV and Film industry.
If you want to be a Cameraman, Editor, Scriptwriter, or Creative Director this is the course for you.
You will have plenty of cross-college opportunities to shoot Miskin Theatres Productions, Miskin Dance and Music shows as well as your own projects and putting your own ideas on screen.
All projects on the course explore lighting and sound and of course, you’ll get to grips with the Premiere Pro and the Adobe suite for editing your media projects in one of our many mac suites.
You will be trained to use a broad range of equipment ranging from our Jib, Track, Fig Rigs, Dollies, Glide Cam, Mono Pods through to our Cinema Black Magic cameras, Canon 700D’s and Nikon 1500D’s.
This course will really suit students who want a career in Film and TV and want to skill up to an industry level. This will include written work that will require you to fully understand the codes and conventions of each media product so that you can why there are certain ways of doing things.
The Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production (TV and Film) teaches trainees to participate in ‘real world’ professional processes with an emphasis on attracting audiences and consumers.
Media trainees will undertake projects which mirror the demands of this exciting and ever-changing industry. You will on this course create the following products:
• An advert or promo for a fictitious or real client.
• An awareness campaign.
• A documentary of your own choice.
• A TV studio production with multi-cameras and live mixing and recording through our Tricaster. This will incorporate training in many techniques such as how to use the green screen for Chroma-Keying.
• Lastly, a final major project that will apply all of the skills you’ve learnt on the course and will enable you to achieve a Pass Merit or Distinction

Entry requirements?
5 GCSE (A-C Grades 4 & above) or equivalent. Evidence of commitment to subject (assessed at interview) at least one of which should be media or art and ideally English.
